Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser on our own website and app, and how to control it.
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains how www.sourcetrack.ai (our website) and the SourceTrack app use cookies and similar browser storage. It does not cover the tracking script our customers install on their own websites. That is described in section 6 of our Privacy Policy, and each customer’s own cookie notice applies there.
What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which work in a similar way. We call all of these “browser storage”. First-party storage is set by the site you are visiting. Third-party storage is set by another provider whose tag the site loads.
Our approach
- Nothing optional loads until you accept. Google Tag Manager (which loads measurement and advertising tags) and our own SourceTrack tracking script load only after you click Accept in the cookie notice. If you have not chosen, or you click Reject, neither loads.
- Privacy signals count as a refusal. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we treat that as Reject and do not ask.
- The notice itself sets no cookie. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage.
What we use on our website
| Category | What it is for | Provider | Storage | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembering your cookie choice | SourceTrack | First-party local storage | Until you change it or clear your browser data |
| Analytics (only after you accept) | Understanding which pages and marketing sources bring visitors, using our own product | SourceTrack | First-party browser storage, with a random visitor identifier | Until you clear your browser data or withdraw consent; cookies, where used, up to one year |
| Measurement and advertising (only after you accept) | Tags loaded through Google Tag Manager, such as Google’s measurement and advertising tags | Google and the providers of the tags we load | Cookies and similar storage set by those providers | Set by each provider, under its own policy |
Providers can change the cookies their tags use, so we do not list every individual cookie. Your browser’s developer tools show exactly what is stored on your device at any moment.
The SourceTrack app
The signed-in app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as the selected site, date range and theme. It does not load advertising tags.
Changing your choice
- Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to accept or reject at any time. Rejecting stops our tracking script and clears its stored identifiers, tells Google’s tags through Google Consent Mode that consent is denied, and stops Google Tag Manager loading on later pages. Cookies that other providers’ tags have already set stay until they expire or you delete them in your browser.
- Your browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking strictly necessary storage can mean the notice appears again on your next visit.
- Browsers and operating systems also offer Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings, which we honour.
US privacy choices
Some US state laws treat advertising measurement as “sharing” of personal information. You can reject it with the cookie notice or Global Privacy Control, and you can read more on our Do Not Sell or Share page.
