Marketing attribution software that ties sources to revenue.
Marketing attribution software shows which channels, campaigns, landing pages and AI assistants bring you leads and revenue. SourceTrack does it with first-party, server-side tracking on your own domain, and an optional Cookieless Mode. ItsAI agentscheck your campaigns against real sales every morning, flag ads that bring no customers and propose fixes you approve. This page sets out what to look for in any tool, how SourceTrack measures up, and who it is not for.

What to look for
What marketing attribution software should do
Six questions that separate a tool that answers “what earned this sale?” from one that reports a number. Use them on any shortlist, this one included.
- 01
It captures every touch, AI referrers included.
Source, campaign tags, referrer and ad click ID on every visit. Visits from AI assistants usually arrive with no campaign tag, so a tool that only reads UTMs files them under Direct.
- 02
It ties each source to leads and to revenue.
A form fill and a payment are both outcomes. Each should be credited to the visit behind it, and revenue should appear only when a real revenue source sent it.
- 03
It compares models on the same stored journeys.
Changing how credit is shared should re-divide journeys already stored, with no re-tagging and no new tracking run. Otherwise you cannot tell a real finding from an artefact of one model.
- 04
It works with consent and without cookies.
Ask what is stored in the visitor’s browser, whether Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honoured, and whether there is a mode that keeps no ID at all.
- 05
It shows the journey behind one lead.
A total by channel says what happened, not why. You should be able to open a single lead or sale and read the sequence of visits that produced it.
- 06
It puts the price on the page.
A published price lets you compare options before you book a call, and tells you what you pay as your traffic grows.

How SourceTrack covers it
What you get, and on which plan
Each card is something that is built and on the pricing page. The tag shows which plan has it, so there are no surprises after the trial.
Source, UTM, referrer, click ID and AI capture
Recorded from the first page view. Sixteen named AI assistants and answer engines are labelled by the site the visitor came from, so they stop landing in Direct.
All plans
A journey per visitor
Visits are stored against one first-party visitor ID, so a lead or a sale carries the whole path. The step-by-step journey timeline for a single visitor is on Starter and Growth.

First and last touch (each also with direct sessions excluded), linear, linear paid, time decay, U-shaped, W-shaped and an AI-traffic model. Switching needs no re-tagging. Free includes first and last touch.

Leads without revenue
Lead stages you send from your CRM or server through the Offline Conversion API are credited to the original source. A lead counts without a payment attached.
Offline Conversion API
Revenue by webhook
Stripe through a webhook adapter, Shopify through a manual webhook recipe, or your own server sending a conversion value. These are webhooks, not native apps.

Search Console SEO revenue (beta)
Organic revenue by landing page, estimated and matched by landing page and date range, never query by query. Needs a connected Search Console property.

Report Builder and multiple sites
Choose what to measure, narrow it, group it and save it as a report. Agencies get a workspace per client and a Client Portfolio across them.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control are honoured. Cookieless Mode is an optional setting on every plan: it uses no cookies and keeps no ID in the visitor’s browser.

Revenue attribution
Revenue attribution: credit each sale to the visit that started it
Revenue attribution software joins two records: the visit, with its source, campaign, landing page and AI assistant, and the payment. The join works when the order carries the visit’s ID, so the revenue lands on the channel that earned it instead of on whichever page the buyer saw last.
Stripe
A webhook adapter: payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds arrive attached to the visit that started them.
Shopify
A manual webhook recipe: orders arrive from the shop’s own webhooks, with refunds netted out of channel revenue.
Your own server
A manual conversion or webhook import, for any sale that happens somewhere else, sent with a value and the visitor’s ID.
No revenue source, no revenue number.
Revenue appears only when Stripe, Shopify or your own server sends it. Until then the revenue cards stay hidden rather than showing a zero, and you still see visits, sources, leads and conversions. Where a figure is an estimate, as with Search Console SEO revenue, it says so on the figure.

Who it fits
Who SourceTrack is for, and who should look elsewhere
It fits if you are
Agencies that need to show each client which channels earned revenue.
Founders and small teams who want source-to-revenue clarity without a data team.
Lead-gen sites that need the source on every form, chat and booking.
SaaS and ecommerce teams who take payments through Stripe or Shopify.
It does not fit if you need
- Call tracking. SourceTrack does not record calls or provide tracking phone numbers.
- Company identification. It does not tell you which companies visit your site.
- CRM write-back. SourceTrack does not write to your CRM.
- Enterprise warehouse-native stacks, where attribution has to live inside your own data warehouse.
- Ad-platform sync as the main job. SourceTrack is built around the source-to-revenue record on your own site.

Quickstart
Questions
Marketing attribution software: common questions
What is marketing attribution software?
Marketing attribution software records where each visitor came from and which pages and channels they touched, then credits the leads and sales that follow to those sources. The useful versions keep the whole journey, so you can ask the same question under different credit rules, such as first touch, last touch or a split across every touch.
How is it different from GA4?
GA4 is built for website analytics. SourceTrack runs alongside it and answers the question analytics leaves open: which channel, campaign or AI assistant earned the lead or the revenue. You keep GA4 and add a first-party record of each journey. The GA4 comparison page sets the two side by side.
Do I need cookies?
By default SourceTrack stores a random, site-specific ID in your own domain’s browser storage, with no third-party cookies and no cross-site tracking. Cookieless Mode, a setting on every plan, uses no cookies and keeps no ID in the visitor’s browser. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are honoured either way.
Can it track AI assistant traffic?
Yes. It names visits from 16 AI assistants and answer engines, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, by the site the visitor came from, and ties the sales that follow back to them. It reads only which site sent the visitor, so what the person asked stays private.
What does it cost?
Free is $0 for one site. Starter is $49 a month for up to 250,000 tracked pageviews, 3 sites, 3 team members and all ten attribution models, with Stripe and Shopify revenue webhooks and the visitor journey timeline. Growth is $79 a month for up to 1,000,000 pageviews, 10 sites and 10 team members, and adds Search Console SEO revenue and more conversion destinations. Starter and Growth start with a 28-day free trial and no credit card, and there is no per-seat billing.
